Checking FCS and workspace compatibility
Separate successful file reading from a validated write-and-reopen or workspace import.
Compatibility is specific to the file layout, its metadata and the software version that reads it. A successful initial read does not prove that every downstream workflow is supported.
Check the exact workflow
For a saved copy, verify that it reopens with the intended channel definitions and measurement values. For a workspace import, check source-file correspondence, displayed gate geometry and event membership.
Keep limitations visible
Describe the applications and versions actually used. Do not generalize a single successful sample into universal instrument or vendor compatibility.
FCS Editor release status
The online release’s formal compatibility matrix is still pending. The product source contains FCS and FlowJo WSP handling, but this website does not claim that the future commercial package has passed release acceptance. Check release status or system requirements.
